My point in this is to put it out there that this group does have its good intentions, but being disorganized and loose with public appearances is destroying their chances of ever having a voice...

I feel people should really think before they speak. I know we have our pros and cons when it comes to any community but we should all be able to respect one another and uplift. Rick Ross himself said, "one nation, under god." I use this quote simply to say that we are all born americans we shouldn't treat our fellow brethrens anything less. Not only that, but the black community in america has a history that speaks the truth and has paved the way for all multi-racial americans.
So i think the group should really find a way to speak in a way that communicates their desire to help and be a voice of resolution. - August 20, 2010 at 5:50 AM

I personally feel that the NBPP does have good intentions. I feel that their vision of carrying out those good intentions are rather skewed. Taking a page out of the original Black Panthers book, the NBPP takes the aggression level to dramatically larger heights. They show a complete disregard for respecting their fellow man and I have yet to see an interview with one of its members that didn't end in a heated manner.
I think that rather than building upon what the original members started, they are attempting to back-track and start all over again. Lets not forget though that some truly great minds make up it's leadership, so there is definitely something there worthwhile. I would propose putting more informed soldiers on the battle lines though, otherwise the war they are looking to wage will be a lost cause. - August 20, 2010 at 9:16 AM

I don't see anything positive with a group who advocates killing babies....that's just me personally. White people aren't a united group, Jews, Italians, Irish -- these are all "white" groups that have faced terrible discrimination and have VASTLY different backgrounds/histories. Germany weren't so nice to the rest of Europe during WWII -- but why? They're all "white" right? The problem with the "black power" movement is that it's inherently racist. There is NO unified "non-black" group just like there is no unified "black" group (see Haiti, Sudan, Jamaica, Congo, etc etc). Until we UNIFY AS HUMAN BEINGS and stop making these groups that further divide us we will never be able to overcome racism as a species. NO BLACK POWER, NO WHITE POWER....HUMAN POWER - August 20, 2010 at 4:06 PM

^ Unity...that's the tru power in the game...However, i don't feel "Black Power" is inherently racist when encouraged with regards to the hardships of inner-cities and unfair conditions in the community.
There is still a great imbalance in society. I met somebody last weekend catching up with my best friend from Irvington, NJ. The gentleman i met is now laying in a hospital with 6 bullets in him. There's reason for anger, many aren't heard living in these conditions every day, raising children feeling like this is their inevitable fate.
However, NO BLACK POWER, NO WHITE POWER....HUMAN POWER definitely the way to go - August 20, 2010 at 4:23 PM

I liked it, I get the angle you tried to get at with the idea of them being able do good but they need a better rep. However, I kinda disagree with you because I feel no matter how much good they are capable of doing if everyones perception of them is negative, they won't have the chance to change minds because society won't allow them to... It's kinda like the first impression is the lasting one and they don't do a good job at solidifying a positive reaction in the public eye.
